“College Night” is and annual event at West Albany when the Counseling Department presents information that helps prepare senior students and their families for the upcoming college application season. We will also cover ways to access scholarship information, writing application essays, and how to avoid getting totally blown away by going to and paying for college. It really can be done without getting stressed out. Being prepared is what it is all about!

We plan on meeting in the cafeteria at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Counselors and administrators will be providing Senior Guides, but you may want to bring a pen and paper to take some notes. If students intend to go to a 4-year college, they should have taken or signed up for the SAT by now. This can be done through collegeboard.com.

I look forward to seeing you on September 30th. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the counseling office at WAHS at 967-4573, or E-mail me at kevin_decoster@albany.k12.or.us.
