Welcome to the South Albany High School family. To those of you returning, get ready to lead the way. To those of you new to SAHS, welcome to the best high school in Oregon!
Opportunities to meet new people, work toward individual goals and achieve lifelong dreams all present themselves each and every day of the school year. You will find numerous avenues to become involved and be a part of the “Rebel Pride!”
We are pleased to be able to present a comprehensive high school program to all of our students. Dedicated staff provides both classroom and extra-curricular opportunities that will allow students to meet the demands of an ever-changing world. Coupled with a safe and comfortable learning environment, students are challenged to pursue a pathway to individual success among a community of learners.
Because we pride ourselves on meeting the needs of every student, the most challenging advanced placement classes and programs are offered. Students have access to a complete industrial technology program and our new technology center, currently under construction, will provide greater avenues for distance learning. Coupled with opportunities in fine arts foreign language and applied arts, South Albany is the leader in broad-based education in the Mid-Willamette Valley.
High expectations for learning and individual responsibility are the cornerstones of our educational beliefs. Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline and Excellence are key elements to the “Rebel Pride” focus throughout the school. We know that every student can be successful. We know that every student can find a connection between learning and their future. Our goal, at South Albany, is to assist each student in finding this connection and to help them chart a course to their intended destination. It is a four-year journey that we hope will be a positive experience for each student.
