All Lafayette Staff members are "highly qualified" as defined by the federal government. Teachers all have Oregon certification and possess at least a Bachelor's Degree. Classified staff members who work with children all have the equivalent of two years of education beyond high school or have passed assessments showing them to have advanced skills.
