Families and Agencies Coming Together (F.A.C.T)
F.A.C.T. is a team of specialists who link schools, students and families together with available community services in the Albany area. F.A.C.T. works in partnership with local schools to help students be successful in school and to make resources available to them at both home and school.
Albany Youth Services Team (YST)
Albany YST brings social services and law enforcement together at the community level for planning interventions and/or treatment for youth with multiple needs. F.A.C.T. coordinates these efforts as well as offering case management to the student and family involved. Contact: Debbi Stephens (see below).
Homeless Liaison
F.A.C.T. team member Debbi Stephens is the Homeless Liaison for Greater Albany Public School District. She coordinates services for those students experiencing a homeless situation as defined by the McKinney-Vento Act. She is responsible for reporting and tracking homeless students and ensuring they have access to District services. Contact: Debbi Stephens (see below). Crisis Response Team
F.A.C.T. provides coordination of our district's Crisis Network. A network of trained staff provides assistance to GAPS and inter-district schools in the aftermath of the loss of a student(s), staff member(s), or other tragic event. The network may assist in buildings as consultants, lead and/or assist in debriefing, or carry out specific roles to the team. Contact: Cheryl Wilkinson (see below).
