Culture Club

Culture Club is a club for all students who would like to broaden their understanding of culture.  Culture is the knowledge and values that a society shares.  A society is a group of people who live in the same geographical area and share the same customs or traditions.  Culture could also include preferences in art, food, manners, religion, family structure, and education.  Through education about other cultures we hope to decrease stereotyping and prejudice and inspire an interest in the world outside our own culture.  One of our goals this year is to organize a school wide Culture week in March.

Culture Club will meet the following dates this year:  Oct 2, 16, 30; Nov 13, 27; Dec 4, 18; Jan 8, 22; Feb 5, 19; March 4, 18; April 1, 15, 29; and May 13, 27.
