Albany students exceed state average on OSAT Scores
Albany students have met or exceeded the state averages in reading and mathematics at all grade levels according to the most recent Oregon Statewide Assessment Test (OSAT) scores. TIMBER RIDGE SCHOOL GROUNDBREAKING
A groundbreaking ceremony was held May 22 for Timber Ridge School, Albany's new elementary/middle school located off of Knox Butte Rd. Superintendent Pat Bedore and School Board members, along with Linn County Commissioner Roger Nyquist, Albany Mayor Dan Bedore, DFAC Chair Martha Wells, and Bill O’Bryan, ABGC President, broke ground for the new building.
Timber Ridge School, Albany's first new facility in 31 years, will house up to 800 students. It is slated to open for the 2009-10 school year.
